Joe joined CMC Energy Services in August 2023 as the Senior Director for Program Delivery in New Jersey. He has extensive utility experience in energy conservation and renewables with an emphasis on commercial and industrial programs. A 28-year veteran of PSEG in New Jersey, Joe most recently served as the QA/QC Performance Measurement Manager supporting Energy Efficiency and EV Programs. For most of his career at PSE&G, he was responsible for implementing and overseeing numerous residential, demand response and commercial and industrial (C&I) programs. He was a key member of the team that launched PSE&G’s Carbon Abatement, Energy Efficiency Economic Stimulus and Clean Energy Future Programs. He has been responsible for programs with budgets of upwards of $100 million annually, including PSE&G’s Engineered Solutions that has served numerous hospital and multifamily facilities; the Residential Demand Response program with approximately 120,000 participants; and Comfort Partners, a low-income residential weatherization program where more than 5,000 customers’ homes are treated per year.
In addition to his most recent role at PSEG, Joe has held several senior leadership roles at the utility, including manager of Energy Services for C&I programs, manager of Asset Management Renewables, DSM Asset/Performance manager, DSM contract manager and DSM service consultant. Prior to joining PSEG full-time, Joe worked as an energy consultant supporting PSE&G programs and as a project engineer at Riese Organization in New York City.
A Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Joe earned his MBA from Excelsior College and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University. Away from work, Joe is an avid tinkerer, who can fix just about anything. He’s a self-taught backyard mechanic and has rebuilt carburetors, engines and transmissions.
